Have you tried this out from the Asus site?
http://www.asus.com/999/html/share/2/icon/11/index.htm

From their description, sounds like SmartDoctor really beefs up a system's 3D performance. I wouldn't expect amazing things from netbook integrated graphics, but given that this thing has been pleasantly surprising so far, I wonder if it can't pull off some of the less taxing 3D games (like WoW or League of Legends).

Also, these guys are slapping Linux on it, though there were still some kinks with detecting all of the pressure levels.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1442164

I agree that their out of the box setup is going to under-impress. But it makes it that much cooler when you can trick it out with a little work. I'm going to add a spoiler to mine :D

Hey man, thank you SO much for posting this. I'm sure you know as I do how frustratingly little info there is online for us artists who are shopping for a cheap, cintiq alternative. The manufacturers and even the tech reviewers seem to be oblivious to the digital artist market. They can't seem to bother mentioning things like whether or not the is pressure sensitivity at all. I've only just learned that this model has 256 levels at half the price of the cheapest cintiq. This, I can afford. Plus with multi-touch zooming this looks like an excellent tool for comic artists. I'm heading out to get mine tomorrow.

Here's the original video, as I noticed that the poser that resubmitted the video cut out the original artist's addition at the end.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you may want to give credit where it's due!

I quite agree with you.

Your experience with a touchscreen echoes mine with an Apple eMate 300. Touchscreen laptops are a good combination, I too find myself wanting to touch, tap and drag stuff around on other computers too but can't.

Even though I am an Apple Newton enthusiast, I haven't been tempted to adopt Mac OS machines. They <i>are</i> behind. They can't claim to have the best looking gear anymore.

Apple stands for elitism. PCs are the computers for everyone.

That doesn't mean to say that they behind in everyway. They look to have expanded the market through their iPad to people who might have previously found their laptops too complex to use as an appliance.

Hey there,
I commented on your youtube video too. I was wondering if you have a wacom stylus or any other stylus to try it with the asus t101. And was wondering if that delay on the display of the stroke is just happen on that program or does it happen to all of them.
Thank you very much in advance. I hope to hear from you soon.
