“would you say the same thing if you ordered a filet mignon and you got a cheeseburger? is it just a matter of preference?”

well sure if i order a steak and get a cheeseburger, someone’s getting stabbed in the eye. but say i ordered a cheeseburger and i got a patty melt. well… patty melt’s pretty good too, think i’ll keep it. i can still enjoy a delicious meal and save the chef some trouble. maybe it’s the idea that it was merely a soda and not a $30 plate. it is kinda true that as the price goes up, getting what you wanted becomes more crucial.

today was the day, supposedly, that a milestone in the history of video games arrived to the US. a game that has been quoted in delivering an immersive artificial world unseen anywhere else. it received perfect scores from XBOX, 1UP, and even IGN- who gave it a 7 page review. the review that made me go into Gamestop 3 days before release and ask for a pre-order. the review that is probably giving jack thompson insomnia right now.

heck, it’s about to give me insomnia playing this thing. i currently await eagerly as it installs to the ps3. it’s been mentioned as possibly the best video game in history. i don’t know about that but i really think it’s about to make history. let you know how it is in the morning…

i ordered my food from panda express and when the lady asked me what drink i wanted i said dr. pepper. when i got my drink i found that it was mountain dew- i stood there for a few minutes debating on whether or not i should bother the lady to change it. i said screw it cuz i like mountain dew too.

when do you draw the line? if i think about it, it could’ve been any drink and i would’ve accepted it the same.
except diet.

but say you ordered a side of greens and they gave you a side of corn- what does it really matter that you didn’t get exactly what you wanted? aside from allergies- if it was just a matter of preference, it seems a bit snooty to demand greens over corn right? you spoiled jerk lol.

or maybe it’s about principles and you feel the server should care a little more about her job. shrug. she works at panda express.

A Poem Published by the Washington Post

When we were the Sick Man of Asia, We were called The Yellow Peril.
When we are billed to be the next Superpower, we are called The Threat.
When we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to open markets.
When we embrace Free Trade, You blame us for taking away your jobs.
When we were falling apart, You marched in your troops and wanted your fair share.
When we tried to put the broken pieces back together again, Free Tibet you screamed, It Was an Invasion!
When tried Communism, you hated us for being Communist.
When we embrace Capitalism, you hate us for being Capitalist.
When we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet.
When we tried limiting our numbers, you said we abused human rights.
When we were poor, you thought we were dogs.
When we loan you cash, you blame us for your national debts.
When we build our industries, you call us Polluters.
When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming.
When we buy oil, you call it exploitation and genocide.
When you go to war for oil, you call it liberation.
When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you demanded rules of law.
When we uphold law and order against violence, you call it violating human rights.
When we were silent, you said you wanted us to have free speech.
When we are silent no more, you say we are brainwashed-xenophobics.
Why do you hate us so much, we asked.
No, you answered, we don’t hate you.
We don’t hate you either,
But, do you understand us?
Of course we do, you said,
We have AFP, CNN and BBC’s…
What do you really want from us?
Think hard first, then answer…
Because you only get so many chances.
Enough is Enough, Enough Hypocrisy for This One World.
We want One World, One Dream, and Peace on Earth.
This Big Blue Earth is Big enough for all of us.
