it’s been 2 years since we’ve had the iphone and now with version 3.0 on the horizon, there is (surprise) NO VIDEO SUPPORT?!?

they never even said there wasn’t any video recording support when i first got the iphone- i had to discover that myself. imagine my disappointment with Apple’s “most advanced phone ever” when i was toying with the camera, looking for the video record button and slowly realizing that there is none. 2 years.

2 years ago, there were first generation phones that had video recording capabilities. my blackberry had it, my sony ericcson before that had it, my motorolla before that had it. when you’re in photo mode, you can see that it’s quite capable of doing video. how hard is it to add a button to record what it’s doing already??

landscape keyboard, email search, app search- *gasp* even cut and paste?? cut and paste made it to 3.0 but video (which should’ve been there first gen) is still missing. you really couldn’t just tack that on?

what happened to you, Apple? i thought you used to be famed for throwing in surprise bonuses. now it feels like you’re just playing catch-up. the customers cry out and it takes you 2 years to heed their requests. the least you can do is catch up to other phones. at the very least. you know how disappointing it is that a cheaper phone can do video? or supports flash?

hurry up.

you would think that during times of crisis, people would be a little considerate. unfortunately, human nature and our way of life values little over the consideration of others. good job on the gov’s behalf of releasing the culprits’ identities to the public lol- i wasn’t aware that kind of thing was even legal, but oh wells. if they didn’t return their bonuses, you could’ve expected some gruesome repercussions a la french revolution.

and… i almost wish they kinda didn’t ;) . i’m tired of people getting away with bad behavior. you can be angry at the AIG people but many of you are exactly the same and would’ve done the same in their position. the mindless, systematic approach to taking advantage of what can legally be taken advantage of.

“well the rules didn’t say i couldn’t”,  f#@$ the rules- what is ethical? ask what is fair, what is right? stop thinking about yourself. you can’t go through life without seeing if you can make a free buck? you can’t be happy with what you have? ungrateful.

and this cannot be expressed more vividly than by the example of AIG employees. notice the only ones who are “ashamed” are the ones whose names were made known. cuz the only AIG employees to return the money are the ones whose names were made public (or threatened to have their names made public). there are still the unknowns who hold onto their money. of course. why wouldn’t you?

revolutionarieees await
for my head on a silver plate
just a puppet on a loooonely string
oh who would ever wanna be king?

so at work, there’s a coworker who actually builds bikes. after doing more research on my own about bobbers and choppers (much of which, i now find is wrong since none of it adds up), he helped clarify the differences.

so… bobbers and choppers are the same thing, in terms of method. they both can have altered frames, custom engine work, and the likes. the terms used to be interchangeable but nowadays they’ve been associated with certain styles.

the term bobber comes from ‘bobbed’. when a bike is bobbed, it means the fenders are cut short. today a bobber generally defines a style and form factor of bikes post WWII. the look of a bobber nowadays usually includes a wheel-base thats closer to the original bike’s design and commonly has drag bars:

drag bars hunch the rider forward making your riding position just a bit more aero-dynamic than typical cruisers.

a chopper is now defined as a bike style that is closer to after the 1950′s when customized bikes’ style and form factor changed a great deal. choppers tend to have a more exaggerated frame, elongated forks in front, and an incredibly large rear wheel (basically what you generally think of when someone says chopper):

it seems that although they seem to share similarly modernized design, bobbers definitely tend to hold a more traditional form factor of a “bike”. my coworker also mentioned another style of bike called a “cafe racer”- what sportsbikes used to be post WWII:

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
