at a place called City Bistro in Hayward. the chef’s menu comprised specifically New York sandwiches, one of which, the Rudolph Giuliani: pastrami and corn beef with coleslaw, sauce, some light cheese, on buttered rye.

the best pastrami sandwich i’ve ever had in life- easily. the bad news is it was $10.50 for a not-so-impressive serving size. even worse news is that i’d gladly pay that much again.

“September 10- Three thieves were blinded by a mob after they were caught snatching a motorbike in Nawada.”

i’m not sure how effective that is for discouraging bike thieves in india, but i’m gonna vote that kind of system would probably do wonders here. imagine if every caught motorcycle thief is blinded, making sure they can never steal a motorcycle again. why, the motorcycle thief population would rapidly diminish.

but of course to be fair, not just any motorcycle thieves- only the ones that steal from people. thieves that steal from dealerships would still get a slap on the wrist like they do now. but thieves that steal from people who own and care for these bikes, they would be blinded. or they lose one of their hands, and they get to pick which hand. sounds pretty fair.

i think the major lack of security options for bikes is really discouraging. i mean, these things can cost as much as a car yet they’re far easier to steal.

what happened to the good old days, where towns would lynch you if they caught you stealing someone’s horse? why’d we get rid of that law?

cuz google does certain things better.

“Apple’s representatives informed Google that the Google Latitude application was rejected because Apple believed the application has the potential to replace the preloaded maps application…”

so? why reject it? why don’t you compete and make your built-in app better then?

but more so, what’s with the concern? you’re using google maps.
